Further Training

Our 8 week Instructor Academy provides the knowledge, skills and qualifications to enter the industry as an Outdoor Instructor. This is really the start of a career that could lead to an abundance of exciting career options.

At the end of this program we spend time developing an individual action plan for the future so you can continue your own personal development, experience and take your qualifications to the next level.

There are similar courses to ours that are longer than eight weeks and subsequently cost more. Most of these mean you paying to gain more personal experience! Our best advice is by the end of the 8 weeks you will have a solid platform and skill set to start work, develop your personal experience and come back when you feel ready for the next level of awards.

If you want to further your paddle sport awards, the next step would be some 3 star awards and UKCC level 2 training, we run these on weekends and as block courses throughout the year. Or maybe you want to finish your abseil module assessment and start looking at your Single Pitch award for climbing. Again, we offer these all year around along with a host of continued development courses you could choose from.

Alternatively, add a new award like your powerboat or even attend one of our international course such as the International river guide course or Himalayan mountaineering school.

You don’t need to spend more time paying us to get more personal experience. You should be out there paddling and climbing yourselves! We will action plan with you, then come back when you feel ready to gain further awards.
